Poker league last night

Well, - i think the Erin B trick worked last night! I ended up with 2nd place in last nights game. I made sure to sit at the end of the table so when it was my turn to deal i had to sort of lean over the table. So my final hand was 10d,10s and I went all in on the turn after a 10 showed. Now doesnt it just figure that the girl I was heads up against (That's right - 2 weeks in a row and it's heads up with the ladies!) She had Jacks and of course the river is a Jack. All in all not a bad game, when I get decent cards.

I did see a bit of the "emotional man" syndrome going on. The guy to the left of me apparently thought he was an excellent poker player. He kept spouting out percentages of winning hands and told us all he was going to be an accountant. Yet the poor boy couldnt figure out the 8.25% tax on a $3 pack of cigarettes he asked his buddy to go buy. So when he lost with KsJs to another dudes' Qh10h (he had 2 pair to the other's straight) he got up from the table and was like "I dont understand your logic on that one so I'll walk away"

So - it was fun - I got to hear some karaoke, including probably the worst rendition of Corey Hart's Sunglasses at Night by a "Rhinestone Cowboy" looking guy. I'll be back there next Sunday evening and let you all know Monday morn how I'm doing in the chase for the WSOP entry!
